
DR ISLAM MOHAMMED SHAABAN SALEM
Dr Islam Mohammed Shaaban Salem is a dual-qualified physician with extensive international experience in general practice, emergency medicine, and occupational health. He trained in Egypt, Kuwait, and the UK, and holds MRCGP (CCT), MRCEM, and FRCEM (SBA) certifications, as well as a Master’s degree in Emergency Medicine from Alexandria University.

Dr Salem has worked across diverse healthcare settings including tertiary trauma centres, private hospitals, and NHS trusts. He completed his GP specialty training in the UK, where he developed advanced skills in dermatology, women’s health, joint injections, and minor surgery. He has also served as an emergency registrar in Kuwait(Canadian accreditation diamond level) and as a SAS doctor in Emergency Medicine at the Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital, UK, gaining significant expertise in acute and urgent care.

In addition to his clinical background, Dr Salem has a strong commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and medical education. He has coordinated QIPs and audits in both general practice and emergency departments, contributed to the Royal College of Emergency Medicine learning platform as a review board member, and delivered teaching to medical students and junior doctors.
